Even though the economy is not in the best shape right now, I have done my best to not let it interfere with my life. I have obviously had to make some adjustments to my personal finances and spending habits, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been able to do the things that I wanted. For example, last month I wanted to take a three day trip over a long weekend. Although I knew that I couldn’t spend a lot of money on my trip, I decided that I was going to spend some time tracking down deals to see if I could still afford the trip.
This turned out to be a great decision, because not only did I get to take my trip, but it cost much less than I had originally expected. Out of all the savings that I tracked down, the one that saved me the most was a car rental special that I found online. Although a car rental can be a major expense during a trip, the car rental special that I found allowed me to get a reliable mode of transportation at an extremely low price.
